Sunshine Souls

Summertime. Even though it’s Spring. Technicalities.
The days are lighter longer.
I believe it was in the 80’s today.
Temperature-wise. Not decade-wise.
Sunshine and warmth.
They heat my core and it’s like a body coming.
Out of biofreeze.
I am awake! And very alive!
Like stepping into a new body or person.
I am … I think I might be funny.
At the very least, I’m far more confident.
I like that version of me.

He’s the coolest and I really like him.

I know that doesn’t really matter.
But it does a little.
I want to do everything.
On days like this.
I’m a “Yes, man!” yes man. … And I love it!
Until I’ve been up for 19 hours straight.
And I want to keep going. Buuuuuut ….

I’ve been a responsible adult.
Either for too long.
Or not long enough.
